Volunteer Opportunities

Downtown Ministries is made up of people just like you, who care about the people of Athens. There are so many ways you can make a difference in someone's life! 

For those who want to be involved in an on-going way, we need coaches, tutors, and people who can provide rides for the kids to these activities. *All the volunteers who work directly with kids are required to go through the Darkness to Light Stewards of Children Sexual Abuse Prevention program. This training is offered through DTM at no cost to our volunteers and counts as 3 hours of CEU credit for many professions.

If time is the issue, you can help by providing snacks for tutoring or our special events, serve or take photos at a sporting event or party, give us a hand with web design, or become a financial supporter.  

Our greatest need is for people who live locally to get involved in this ministry. Please consider how you can be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the inner city children in Athens.
