Purpose

Creating avenues of ministry to build relationships is key to our purpose of reaching and equipping people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The main avenue we use is our sports teams, the Downtown Falcons. Sports can bring people together from every background in a common purpose and goal and be a powerful instrument for the gospel. Currently, over 200 children from the urban areas of Athens have participated in a sporting event sponsored by the Downtown Ministries. Each one of these kids represents a unique story and a specific need.
